Did you know that under both Virginia state law as well as federal law, you, the consumer, have the right to choose whichever auto glass shop that you wish to go to for auto glass services? Some insurance companies will try to tell you that only work provided by the shops on their lists will be accepted. This is a process called «steering» and their statement is wrong. Insurance providers must honor your choice of auto glass shop when you file a claim regardless if they’re on their preferred list of shops or not.
